2025 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix: Piastri wins in Jeddah

Grand Prix arabie Saoudite

🏁 Jeddah, an electric circuit and palpable tension

The Jeddah street circuit, a veritable ribbon of asphalt under floodlights, lived up to its reputation. Fast, technical, and lined with walls, it is one of the most demanding on the calendar. It was in this ultra-modern arena that a new chapter of this already heated 2025 season was played out. And from Saturday, the tone was set: a shake-up of the grid, tiny gaps, and an Oscar Piastri as sharp as ever.

But before getting back to the race, let's talk about a driver who continues to make people talk about him: Max Verstappen .
Imposing, aggressive, uncompromising, he embodies the essence of competition. And for all those who thrill with every overtake, every braking at the limit, our Max Verstappen sweatshirt is here to help you live your passion in style.

⚔️ A tense start, a borderline overshoot, and a decisive penalty

As soon as the lights went out, Verstappen dived down the inside at the first corner , neck and neck with Piastri. But his overly optimistic maneuver earned him a penalty: a 5-second penalty for overtaking outside the limits . A rare, but costly error. Meanwhile, Piastri remained calm , adjusted his strategy, and stayed on the pace without forcing it. Impressive mental mastery for such a young driver.

At the back, Lando Norris , stuck in the middle of the pack after a difficult qualifying session, began a vigorous comeback. He overtook, attacked, forced lines... and climbed up to fourth place, just behind a solid Charles Leclerc who gave Ferrari its first real ray of sunshine this season.

🧠 Strategies, tires and nerves of steel

The gap is decided in the pits. McLaren executes a clear strategy. Piastri enters, exits ahead of Verstappen, and manages the final laps like a metronome. Even with a Red Bull in hot pursuit, nothing seems able to derail him .

Behind them, the Mercedes were consistent without being explosive. Russell finished fifth, Antonelli sixth. Hamilton , on the other hand, still seemed to be looking for the instructions for his 2025 version of Ferrari.

But a major surprise has slipped into the top 10: Isack Hadjar , the young Frenchman, has scored new points with Racing Bulls, confirming that his start to the season has been anything but a flash in the pan.
